Wall Gallery

I'm still having some problems with my internet. Hope you'll give me a few days.

I'm surely taking my time getting the house in order. I have what I need but not enough to fill it. Not a bad problem, it's just gonna take some time. I am still just sick that I gave my mama's buffet to a family member. I didn't have room in the apartment and couldn't take it with me. Now I have more than enough room.

This weekend I worked on a wall gallery that I have been trying to do for some time. I needed larger frames but I used what I had for now.

I have been looking sometime for a clock. I sold a lamp on Varage Sale and made enough to buy this for 1/2 price at Hobby Lobby. This is how I wheel and deal.

I sold a small table and got this. This is mine and Connor's song.

I ready wanted a farmhouse look but I'd have to do a complete makeover so I'm adding a piece of rustic one at a time.

Ughhhh! The old recliner has to stay for now. No one's taking the bait and I don't have the money right now for another.

The letters are for our families last initials. Christy will always be a Hitchcock to her mama but of course she is now a Grant, thus the different initial.

The cabinet filled with ironstone is now my entry table.

I recently added a new bird.

The master bedroom feels like home.
Not much changed here.

I'll share a larger view of the living room soon and also a dresser that was given to me FREE, a coffee table that I got for $10, and a shutter that I picked up beside the road. These DIY projects are in the making.

It's hot here!!! And humid!!! What's it like in your neck of the woods?

A Little Bit of Coffee and a Whole Lot of Jesus

Just a quick post tonight from the IPhone. We finally got internet yesterday. It's, as my mama would say, as slow as pond water. Whatever that means, it's sooooo slow.

Have I told you how much I love my new church family?

I am so behind on posting and reading but just wanted to give a shout out to our pastor's wife. She's amazing! She's a pastor's wife, works outside the home, is finishing NP school, director of Christian Education, mother to two boys 4&5. She is young, fun and creative. Most of all, she loves Jesus and the church and serves both well. Her husband is an awesome preacher of the Word and has a pastor's heart.

The first Sunday of our Summer Christian Education classes (Sunday School), we were surprised with an iced coffee bar. It was more like a Frappacinno. Yummy and cute!

Such a "Refresher" on these Steamy Son Days.

I am teaching "Deeper." I am still in awe at how God continues to work out His plan for our lives. Mr. H attended a youth meeting a few weeks ago. We feel the heart of the pastor and new director of youth.  I have a vision for this church and God has a higher purpose. I can't wait to see what is going to happen at Covenant Fellowship Nazarene. I think my mama and daddy would be proud to see our involvement.

Yelp! Give me a whole lot of Jesus and little bit of coffee too!

I'll be visiting soon!

A Refurbished Chalkboard

It's amazing what a quart of paint will cover.

I bought a can of Southern Honey Chawk Paint from one of my favorite little shops in Nashville. The color is Navy, of course, my newest love.

Remember the chalk board was tan. Voila! NAVY!

It's not as crooked as it looks in the first photo.

We have a long way to go and a lot of thrifting. This may take awhile. But I've determined not to stress...today. Some days my resolve is not as strong.  "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak."

I still do not have Internet. We are awaiting a phone call from AT&T. I can post via phone but it's peck...peck....correct...peck...

Finding blogs and responding is not as easy on the phone either.  Please know I think of you and pray for you often.
