This morning my DIL and I and the kiddos went to
what we thought was a Splash Pad.
(This is new to me)
Turns out it was a kiddo pool with lots of water falls.
I roll up my sleeves and shorts.
No problem there.
I was walking with Cora when she went under.
Oh my goodness! I tried to pull her up by the arm
when I realized she was under.
I go in fully clothed, body and all!
Yes, I did! Anything to save my babies.
Absolutely scared me to death!
She was fine.
Thank you, Jesus.
Me. Not so much.
My heart was in fight or flight mode.
Sopping wet and yes, BonBon got a boo-boo
but my baby girl was safe.
Go ahead and laugh.
After the scare, we all did.
We did lunch together and then I spruced up the house a bit.
This is one of the goodies that I got at Amy's yard sale.
I could not believe she sold this pretty!
Look at the detail!
I added a small stack of my favorite pieces.
I will enjoy for a few days
until it is time to change again.
Yelp, change again.
Sure had to change out of those wet clothes!
Until the next espisode...
Bonnie:)
Oh Bonnie....I know how scary that was....but thank you for a belly laugh picturing you going in....I only laugh because many years ago I was going to work at a Church Day Care for the summer. I was fully dress in skirt, sweater, hose and heels as I was interview and taken on a tour. As we passed by the pool I was sure a little girl was drowning...she was bobbing up and down and screaming and no one was helping her......yes... I jumped in. When I crabbed her she screamed even louder. When it was all over and a wet and humiliated me sat on the lawn chair soaking wet..... I was told she does that all the time and she's a good swimmer.....at that point...I wanted to holder her under......just kidding....I did get the job....and became friends with the little terror.
ReplyDeleteOK girl, where the pics of wet BonBon? LOL Probably the same place where mine would be....deleted or never taken at all! Seriously, I am so glad that all is well. I hope your boo boo heals quickly too. Can't wait to hear about your next adventure :) Oh yes...love that table scarf!
