I bought a can of Southern Honey Chawk Paint from one of my favorite little shops in Nashville. The color is Navy, of course, my newest love.
Remember the chalk board was tan. Voila! NAVY!
It's not as crooked as it looks in the first photo.
We have a long way to go and a lot of thrifting. This may take awhile. But I've determined not to stress...today. Some days my resolve is not as strong. "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak."
I still do not have Internet. We are awaiting a phone call from AT&T. I can post via phone but it's peck...peck....correct...peck...
Finding blogs and responding is not as easy on the phone either. Please know I think of you and pray for you often.
You are right with the trend! When we went to the Parade of Homes here last week, we commented on how many places had gray with navy accents. I like it too!
ReplyDeleteLoveeeeeeeeee the color. I have moved my blog, Bonnie: justsimplylinda.wordpress.com
ReplyDeleteI can imagine that posting with the phone is time consuming. The chalk board looks great. I love to decorate with thrift store and vintage finds. I honestly would have to have a home decorator come into my home and do it all for me! Have a great day. I hope you get your internet soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the chalk board! You just have to take you time, that's my advice! NO RUSH:) Have a blessed day, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI envy you for having a whole house to thrift for and fill up!!! Love chalkboards anywhere. Love the navy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bonnie. I appreciate any prayer I can get. :) I like that sweet chalkboard. You will get it all together soon ....relax honey. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteOK Now I know why I just got a smiley face from you.
ReplyDeleteYour home is looking great.

ReplyDeleteTake your time, Bonnie. We'll be here.
ReplyDeleteWe've lived in our house almost a year now and though I've come a long way, I still have a long way to getting it exactly as I want. Part of the fun is searching for treasures. Enjoy the process!
ReplyDeleteI like these new colors you're going with. Your future is looking very bright! It's so exciting and I'm happy for y'all.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about returning comments or 'visiting' until it's easier. And I've moved my blog too: http://redbirdacres.wordpress.com . Blogger just messed with me one too many times ... *lol*
Luv ~:)
So glad your new home purchase is completed and that you are settling in well! xx
ReplyDeleteIt sure does take time to get settled into a new place, especially when so much of what you have, has been in storage for a while. Enjoy the process! Blessings, Cindy xo
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your internet up and running soon, Bonnie. That's no fun for sure. Thinking of you.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
Your chalkboard will be very useful for you. I've been wanting one myself. :)
