A New Tradition

It's the most wonderful time of the year, the hap-hap-happiest season of all.

Our newest tradition with my babies is to get together the Sunday evening after Thanskgiving for thanks-giving and to open one present under the tree, Christmas PJ's. Don't we all want some?

My brothers and sister and I got red pajamas every year. My kids got red pajamas every year and my babies will get red pajamas every year.

They were so excited.

Look at these faces.

Little Harp was more interested in the ball. The girls played sweetly together. They are getting old enough to enjoy playing babies and pretending. I just love it!

These faces...

He was a hoot!

Talk about excited! Harper can get just as crazy but last night she just wanted to play with her best friend Cora.

I'm glad they love Bon Bon and Grandy's. They played with the Little People's Nativity (thanks Billie Jo). They played tea party with the ceramic Santas, read books, played cars, and threw the ball. Yes, in the house!

This will be one of my favorite memories.

Fruit Tea Chicks and Life Stuff

I realize I haven't posted in over a week. So, before I share a little of what's going on in my life, I'll share the rest of my trip to The Mill.

The Fruit Tea stand was a most refreshing spot amid the crowded booths. I'm a Southern iced tea girl to the core. I'm learning to like fruit tea.

They call themselves the Fruit Tea Chicks.

I would have been good just to grab the thermal jug and run but I didn't risk breaking the pretty hobnail milk glass cake stand. Is this just not a beauty!?!?

The sweetest little lemonade stand I've ever seen. I think I want one.

One for you and one for me. Wanta sit and sip with me a bit?

Last week was a doozy. It's no secret that Mr. H has not adjusted well to the move. I don't have time or the patience to peck it out on this stupid phone. A week ago I was sure that we'd be going back to Georgia. GASP!!! I know, right??? He had a promising phone interview and scheduled a 1:1 on Tuesday with a reputable company near home doing what he loves to do and what he's done for 30 years. We met with the children. They were angry, disappointed, hurt.  I cried, fasted, prayed. It's hard to see your man miserable and trying to make ends meet. Of course, I have to support him although my heart is screaming, NO! Long story short, he canceled the interview because it didn't "feel right." I've been singing "Thy Will," by Hilary Scott. I truly believe this is where we are supposed to be. Please join me in praying for God's will, for doors
to open and shut. I'm out of words. Love you my friends.

The Mill and a Little Browsing

I had a few minutes on Saturday to browse.

I was at one of my favorite shops and ran into the sweet lady
who helped design my home.
By "design", I simply mean,
pick out light fixtures, brick and siding color, granite-
those kinds of things.
My home is certainly not a magazine design.
She has a booth in our local antique shop.

It was great bumping into her.
I told my children last week
that Nashville only felt like home
when I was with them.
I miss bumping into people I know.
It was nice.

She told me about a craft fair that was going on
just down from where I live,
The Mill.

I wrote a post on The Mill when I first moved.
It's an old mill that has been refurbished.

It was just a quick browse and I didn't buy a thing.

I was looking more at the decorating. It was a little cool inside and Christmas music was playing in the background.

The shop was called Urban Mills.
www.Urbanmillspromo.com if
you'd care to browse too.

They had the neatest ideas.

Shutters, a place to hang the wreaths and their stockings.
I may have to steal this idea.

The dressing room was made
from refurbished wood
and sheets of aluminum.

The entrance was very inviting.

The merchandise was a little out of
my league, but I enjoyed looking anyway.

One more favorite to come.

Please pray for my husband and I. We have some decisions to make.

A Fun Halloween

It was a fun Halloween.

I thought I was scheduled to work.
My brain kinda flips things without my permission.

I saw the numbers 5 and 12.
I was thinking, yeah, go in at 5...

And then it hit me!
Get off at 12???

I looked again.
It was 12:15 and I was late!!!
I don't know if I have ever been late for anything.

I got to spend the night with my family.
YiPpEE!

Look at those big smiles!
I tell you, they just melt my heart!

Have you ever seen a cuter Minnie?

The neighborhood Facebook page,
(the present Mrs. Cravitz-the snoop from Bewitched???)
told them to prepare with $200 worth of candy.
Between all of family, I think they spent close to that.

I've never seen so many kids!
Never!

Mr. H stayed back and gave out the candy.
He loved it!

We ate chili and hot dogs and watched the girls sing and dance.
They circled round and round to the tune of
"Let it Go."

It's still very warm here,
but God must have whispered,
"It's Fall,"
to Trevecca Nazarene University.

The campus is beautiful as it prepares
for Homecoming this weekend.
My girl is singing so I'll be there if possible.

Yesterday was my yearly mamo and exam,
the pain only women can understand.
Ugh.

I'm soooo ready for FALL and cooler temps!

Can you believe this was just a year ago?

And this baby girl was in the hospital last Halloween!

Hope you had an eventful festival or Trick or Treat!
