Cooler temperatures this morning
with misty rain and a chilly breeze.
Fall has finally come to Georgia.
I decided it was time for my home
to smell like baked cookies, roasted pecans,
apples and cinnamon and pumpkin pie.
Are you kidding me???
No, I didn't bake.
I went to Walmart.
I discovered Better Homes and Gardens
scented wax cubes last year.
They smell YUMMY!
Tonight I'm melting
A Thankful Harvest
and
Golden Maple Waffles.
After Christmas last year,
I bought a bag full of BHG scents
for 50 cents each.
They lasted all year.
This is what's left.
I have tried Glade, Scent Scentsationals
and Scentsy and none can compare to BHG.
Glade scents smell like spray deodorizers
and are much too strong to my liking.
The aroma is short-lived with SS.
Scentsy waxes are WAY out of my budget
and they have a gazillion flavors.
Whew! Too overwhelming.
I'll be scanning the Walmart shelf next week for
Brownie Pecan Pie
Farm Apple Pumpkin
Candied Apple, and
Vanilla Spice.
No, I am not getting paid to promote this product.
Follow your nose,
it always knows.
The flavor of fruit
wherever it goes.
(Remembering the Fruit Loops Commercial)
Just passing this along,
Bonnie:)
I just picked up two of the H&G candles at Walmart this past week. It is a really spicy scent and I LOVE it--I am surprised at how clean they burn, too. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love this brand too. The scents smell really good, and the price is perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteI love, love fall scents! I've used the candles...will have to try the melts.

I love it when I can start to have autumn scents burning, but we don't get enough of them over here, they seem to be mostly flowery floral scents, which are great in summer, but not what I need in the autumn! I had to do a little candle shopping when I was in the US to make sure that I was topped up! xx
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmm I am going to try those BHG candles. I love my home to smeel good..
ReplyDeleteYep.. I remember the fruit loops commercial..lol I love scented tarts.. I agree with your view.. BHG are the bestest!! I enjoy tarts much better than candles.. We are having very cool temps but not rain.. Fall is here! Finally got a new computer.. Been visiting around and finally posted.... Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me to look for my clearance purchases from last year:) Enjoy this beautiful FALL day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteIt feels like fall here too. I've not burned a candle since moving to this house. Time to dig some out of the boxes :)
ReplyDeleteBless you today, Bonnie! (I enjoy your blog SO much!)
I love changing the scents in my house as seasons change. I haven't tried wax cubes, but I like Bath and body works plug ins. I agree with you on Glade.
ReplyDeleteThis time of year is my favorite to bring in the scent of fall!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this bit of information, Bonnie. I can't deal with the strong scents either. BHG is going on my list for next week!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, your lead in tricked me. I was ready for some tasty treats. LOL I love to smell maple walnut scent. I like all spicy smells when it comes to candles. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteLove this post--I love scents--especially Scentsy. I gotta try these. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI looked at these recently but did not buy any. Thx for the good review.
ReplyDelete"Baked cookies, roasted pecans, apples and cinnamon and pumpkin pie ..." [said with a big smile] You BAD girl!! *lol* Now I'm hungry. The shorter days are nice too. I do love all those things. Autumn is my favorite time of year. As soon as I'm 100% again (recovering from an as yet unidentified mild tummy bug) I want to decorate for the season. Luv ~:)
ReplyDeleteSomehow you've managed to make me extremely hungry! I love those fall and winter scents that fool your guests into thinking you're baking something yummy. That happened last week with my guys. When they came home my husband said..."Mom's making us some cookies!" They were puzzled when after dinner I didn't have them sitting out and my son finally asked when they were going to get to eat them!
ReplyDelete...I hated to disappoint them, so I went the next day and got them some!
