Ah, that looks just like the metal plant stand I can't seem to find. LOL That's what I'd use it for, and now that rust is IN, there's no need to paint it. ;-)
We had two old stools similar to that one. We considered making them into end/bedside tables. Would have been kinda neat... But decided against bringing them with us because we already had enough projects!
Whoa, who ya' calling crusty? (rolling laughter)---I love that stool, paint it, maybe Robin Egg Blue. (I'm on a Tiffany think Blue kick, sorry about that, lol)
As several other people have said, I immediately thought what a great plant stand it would make, by a door with something seasonal on top - perhaps in a galvanised bucket or something similar! I am sure that someone will buy it and use it well. xx
I am sure someone will think of an idea who is inclined to be crafty. I see many in here who can refurbish it.
