Mountains, Family and GA Football

I'm so ready for a weekend in the mountains.

This is what the creek looked like this time last year.

The leaves were yet to turn, but it was still a little piece of paradise. 

We enjoyed the porch.

The view was spectacular.

But give me this anyday, anywhere!

We probably won't get the mountains this year, 

but there will be lots of family time as 

we look forward to Connor man's birthday

baby showers and the arrival of Harper Elizabeth.

My boy made it home this weekend even though 

he spent the day with his dad and a friend in Athens. 

At least I got a hug.  

It was the GA/TN rival game. 

It was in Memphis last year.

Can't believe how big she is now!

I have a feeling she's gonna be a little Rocky Top TN girl

in spite of her daddy.

I think she's a cutie in orange or red!

This was the mascot for TN before the game.

I guess you can tell who won!

It just doesn't get better than this!

TN dog may be bigger

but GA is badder and cuter!

Old Pie Safe Doors and a Fall Change-up

I did a small change-up for Fall.

The space needed some warmth. 

The white window was just not quite right for Fall. 

The doors are from an old pie safe. 

Perfect wood!

 

Played around with a little Picmonkey.

I kinda like this effect.

Looks like a portrait.

The white window was a great backdrop for Spring and Summer.

Going for a simple Fall.

Swap=Freebie

I did a little pickin' this morning. 

I swapped out a coat rack from my booth

for this chair from another vendor.

I love the burlap seat covering.

Dollar for dollar.

I call this free!

Jack-o-Lanterns or Just Pumpkins?

I don't decorate for Halloween.

I prefer pumpkins to jack-o-lanterns. 

My niece does a great job at both. 

I prefer simple.

She likes foo-foo too.

She works a full-time job,

teaches painting classes, 

always has a craft project or two going on, 

is director of the children's department,

shuffles her own children to softball, school, and church activities

and is a mommy to these two and a wife to the man in the middle.

When can we do this one, Dawn?

Do you decorate for Halloween

 or 

do you, like me, 

just do FALL?

Disney: Where Dreams Really Do Come True

Disney is a magical place.

It will put a smile on a young one's face.

Oh what a sparkle in the eyes of a child.

and a face that erupts with a great big smile.

Cora fell madly in love with a mouse

and Connor says, "Please, won't you live at my house?"

too excited to be still.

and ended like this.

a vacation that fit the bill!

Walt Disney World is a place

Where dreams really do come true

We'll be back again someday

And maybe we'll take you too!
