I realize this morning that I haven't shared my fair photos with you. There are only a few. I was so busy that I failed to capture the moments on film.
The Wilson County Fair is the largest fair in the state of Tennessee with about 500,000 tickets
sold each year. We attended the last night. I was expecting a small crowd. Last night-eveybody's already been, right? NOT! What was I thinking??? Elbow to elbow people and me trying to hold the hand of a 3 year old who's saying, "Come on, Bon-Bon, Come on Grandy, let's do this."

We held on to this busy, little boy for dear life!
Our little condutor had a ball.
But, this was just kid's stuff.
He wanted more!
I was thinking, "NO WAY!"
I thought I may slide with him
until I realized I'd have to climb the stairs.
He's FEARLESS and the kid in his mommy
was ready to ride. I was off the hook.
Whew!
He loved it!
I was amazed at how unafraid he was of anything!
The girls were too busy being cool,
chillin' out,
and watching the big kiddos.
We didn't forget the little exhibits.
As a matter of fact, these were Cora's favorites.
All were pooped at the end of the night.
What did I learn from the fair?
Don't get too busy that you fail to capture the "moments".
Don't get so distrated by the crowd that you miss the little ones things.
Don't let fear keep you from going for the BIG ride.
While everything and everyone is spinning round and round, just chill.
Have a Happy Monday!
Bonnie:)
What fun! Good times with the little one!
ReplyDeleteBonnie...I loved the photos. The way the little guys hair blew back...such fun!! That baby at the end would be how I would be...conked out ,after fun in the sun day. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful time spent with the kiddos, so cute.Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and for your kind comment on the mirror I painted. Your grandkids are very cute and that sounded like a fun, if crowded, night. Our boys were always involved in 4-H so we went to many many fairs but never one that big!

ReplyDeleteOh what fun to go to the fir with the family! Some kids re just like that...........fearless.Looks like everyone had great time tho!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! But you know, I am also guilty of not getting pics of special moments due to HAVING FUN MYSELF! Sometimes we can also miss the moments due to snapping all those pics. There has got to be a happy medium, right? We bloggers have such a dilemma but I think you got some great shots...or did Christy? (I see that camera hanging around her neck) :)
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet pictures! Loved them....our home town Farmshow is in October. We would go every night for dinner when we lived just down the road. Now we go maybe twice during the week. Fun times!
ReplyDeleteawesome, I love country fairs.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Love the "Action" shot down the slide....how fun!!
ReplyDeleteFairs, fall, grand kids, memories. I agree, it doesn't get any better!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like everybody had a great time! I used to love the fair but Phoenix's state fair is ... well ... kind of scary! So, we just take the kiddos to some small carnivals and local things, much safer :) But we still have a blast and make wonderful memories! That is what life is for! Enjoy a beautiful week! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a great time! There is something wonderful about the fair, all the smells, the rides, the animals and of course the crowds, it's all fun. :) Oh...and of course the food! You only eat that kind of food at a fair, right?!
ReplyDeleteYour babies are precious, Bonnie!
Bless you ~ Debbie
{{{Big, big smiles}}} Thanks Bonnie, sure is a Blessing.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice and great pictures:) Love it that you attended this big event! Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!

ReplyDeleteMy goodness, that looked like fun! Made me realize how much I've missed a good fair. We've only been to the Arizona State Fair once. It is so huge, located in a more questionable area, and there always seems to be threats of gang violence. Maybe we are just too chicken! You certainly have some cute Grands."
Looks as though you had a wonderful time and learned a few things too! xx
