A Wood Pallet Tree

Mr. H and I have had a lazy day, one sorely needed. He's napped and watched football and I've napped and did a little more adding and subtracting Christmas.

I bought this Christmas tree at the Holiday Bazaar. It's made from wood pallets.

I've got to add a red bow.

I love the white-washed boards.

I missed the local Christmas parade with the kids. My body would just not pull itself out of bed. I'm helping my daughter with the baby and cleaned her house yesterday. I felt it this morning.

Seems like only yesterday.

Feeling nostalgic and sentimental!

  2. Where do you hang a tree like that? Isn't it heavy. It will be beautiful. You could also put lights on it. This is a nostalgic time of year.

  5. Bonnie, there are times where I sit and wish my girls were little and back home with me...I tell all young people having children...take time to enjoy them, they grow too fast. I was so caught up in raising them , working, making sure there was clothing , food and shelter....the time just flew. I have wonderful memories of my daughters and our time together...but I long for more. On someone's blog just last week was something about doing our very best..I think we did our best in that span of time. You know wisdom comes with age...too bad we aren't born with it. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  6. Very sweet photo of the children. It must be heartwarming now to see them with their own children.

  10. Ok, I gotta make that. We even have the wood sitting out there on the woodpile saying "Let me be a tree again ..." *giggle*
Hope your day is blessed. ~:)
