Another Project Today, Tomorrow the Tree

I stayed up late last night doing this...

The red is so pretty and shiney.
It makes me smile.

I recently bought this quilt at the flea market for $40.
It's hand stitched and has so much red in it
that I couldn't resist.

This is gonna be my Christmas corner.
I'll add some red pillows and some stuffed toys
for the Grandloves to play with.
Maybe Callie Cat will stay off of it...
or
NOT.

The window seat has sat empty for 3 years now.
After Christmas, I intend to get someone to make me
pillows and a cushion from nice fabric.

Today was a good day.
I helped a friend.
We went thrifting.
I listened.  She listened.
We shared.
I taught a Bible class.
We prayed together.

Isn't that what community is all about?

Tonight I am at peace.

Pink, pretty please?

Christy said,
"We don't do pink."

"WHAT?!!!!!!"

"Well, some pink, I guess
maybe an outfit or two."

You know me, a lover of all things white and PINK!

How can she say, "No Pink?"

She says, "Neutrals."

"With a pop of pink, right?"

I was so excited to find this rare piece of pink milkglass or "shell."
I found it in Juliette, GA last Saturday.
It was $12.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!

She says, "With a pop of coral or aqua."

Okay, okay.
Coral is in the pink family, right???

She showed me some of their ideas from Pinterest.

with a little less aqua and coral
and more neutrals.

Okay, I can see this,

or this.

Oh, yeah. I'm seeing it.  I'm getting it.

But can I exchange the white bear with a pink one?

I Dream in White and Pink,

Bonnie:)

Which colors do you prefer?

Does Primitive Mean Old?

Primitive stuff for the primitive-loving folks.

Does primitive mean old?
Does that mean old stuff for the old folks?

I didn't think so!

Although the quilt had a tag (which means it's not old),
I bought it because it looked old.

I got it for $12.50 at the estate sale
that I mentioned on my last post.

The stars are wooden and great!

I need to fill my booth
so I'm gonna sell the stars
(not the quilt).

I know I will regret later!

Especially since I want to turn one of my rooms
into primitive-style.
The quilt will be perfect!

Yeah!
Vintage ornaments!
A year of hunting should give me a
full tree by Christmas.

High winds are predicted for Friday
in Central Georgia.
Hope that doesn't mean more falling limbs.

YIKES!

I'm No Tablescaper

So, I'm no tablescaper,
(is that a word? I don't think so!)
but I wanted to pull together SOMETHING.

These are some of the somethings
that I found yesterday.

OH MY GOODNESS!
I was jumping up and down and shoutin'
to the top of my lungs
on the inside, when I spotted this
pitcher for, get this---
$7!!!

It is "PITCHER" perfect!

As you can tell,
it is HUGE!

Well, huge compared
to a most of my pretties!

I stole borrowed these
from a neighbors tree-
God forgive me,
the church's tree.

Shhhhhhhh,

Well, it's really God's tree,
right???

I got the IRONSTONE
FOR $1 a PIECE
from the local flea market.

It's marked Homer Laughlin
made in the USA.

I can't get enough.
The pitcher came from MiMi T's.
Look at that handle.

MiMi T's is one of the places in Warrenton
that Distressed Donna Down Under
and
Olive Out
visited yesterday.

Isn't the spout pretty!

I love the setting atop my mama's quilt.

Love the glass drinking jars
with a handle.

Oh, I remember when there
was nothing better than
a glass of ice cold sweet tea
out of a canning jar or
a peanut butter jar.

And nothing like a hot cup of coffee
out of a heavy ironstone mug.

This is my teeny, tiny dining area.
I wish I had a kitchen large enough
for a farm table, but
my small, 1000 sq. ft.
has been home for 27 years.

It was big enough to raise our children in.
We shared fights and fun
around the table.

We made financial mistakes that
kept us here,but
my children call it home.

We'll add a kids' table when
the grandkids grow out of the
highchairs.

And then we'll probably sell
and move to Nashville:)
Home is where the heart is anyway,
RIGHT?

My children and my heart
live in Nashville.

MORE TO COME,

Bonnie:)
