I love the rusty, crusty
but I declare I have no idea how to make it elegant.
In my home it looks like JUNK.
And still I want to take this barn door and make it work.
I really do.
I could make it work in the right house.
I just need a farmhouse.
Why did it take me 50 years to appreciate
the character of the old.
The watering can, I think I can work with.
I'm going back and get it this weekend if it's still there.

Lovely as is also♥️
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I feel the same way about the old rusty stuff. Your little enamel piece will look lovely with a fresh bouquet in it :)))
ReplyDeletehugs...
Oh they are some great pieces! definitely fill them with fresh flowers! I love that barn door too! You could make a great picnic table with that.
ReplyDeleteYou make me laugh Bonnie! :)
ReplyDeleteI would use the pitcher for those lovely country looking velvet like flowers. And that door would make a great coat and hat rack. You can get some pretty neat knobs and hooks, especially at Hobby Lobby.
It was good to come for a visit. I have come back to the community in our little blog world. :) My healing from surgery went very well. Now the other knee. :)
Blessings, Debbie
Morning, you don't, love it rusty and crusty. I have many pitchers and plant flowers in mine, primtastic!!!!!! Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteI think you do a great job of putting together old things and making a beautiful setting with them. I bet we'll soon see pictures of how you did it with these things. I wish I had your skills!
ReplyDeleteI use my rusty, crusty pitcher as a vase. I love it. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteYou are such a girl (notice I calle you a girl) after my own heart! I also have a collection of enamelware...some of it is usable for cooking and some of it is rusty and crusty...I love it all! Sit that puppy on a tray (or hang it up) with some wildflowers in it...if it doesn't hold water, get some pretty fake ones :) I have actually patched small holes with J-B Weld...works like a charm!
ReplyDeleteOh girl, I love that rusty, crusty beauty:) Put it on the patio with some flowers or a green plant! That's what I would do with it! Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI like the rusty crusty look- it would be great in a display with flowers. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll come up with something artistic. You look at it, and see a project. I look at it, and want to sell it. *lol* Funny how we're all different.
ReplyDeleteHope y'all are having a splendid day. ~:)
It seems like our style is forever changing! I love old stuff now, too...much better than anything new! Enjoy your week! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with the pitcher and door.
ReplyDeleteLove your wall hanging you worked so hard making.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Thanks so much for your visit and kind words.
I love looking at things through your eyes. Thanks for sharing. Love the way you see beauty in things others might overlook!
ReplyDeleteI love all my enamelware pieces so I love that pitcher! It just wants some country flowers to make it complete. I have an old barn door and hope to make it into a coat/hat rack. Someday.
ReplyDeleteFarmhouse hugs!
