Tea Cup Exchange From My Friend Sherri at Little House Paradise

Saturday morning (can you call 12:00 noon morning?)
still in PJ's, my husband yelled,
"Hurry, there's someone at the door."

Me??? Hurry???
Why not you???

It was the mailman with a package.
He had no intention of opening the door.

Calm down, Mr. H.
It's alright.
(He only gets excited when he's not dressed)
LOL!
Take that either way you want to!

I opened it to find this...

http://littlehouseinparadise.blogspot.com/

from Sherri.

It is so pretty.
She must have been peeking in my window
because it was just what I love!

There was a surprise tucked in too.

I've admired this magazine
from the rack while standing in line at Walmart,
but I've never purchased or read it before.

I was so excited.

I pulled it all together
with some of my other pink goodies.

I'm crazy about the dried roses.

A photographer, I'm not.
Especially when I still can't plug in the cord
to download from my camera.
UGH!

The doilie was included.
Don't you think it's a nice add to my pink room?

Thanks, Sherri
I am delightfully grateful,

Bonnie

Spring Came Home With Me

Today I decorated for Spring.

I brought it all home with me.

Today it was 72 and raining.
Tonight there's a winter freeze warning.

So, I'll just look at my little bird
and dream of Spring.

An Almost-Spring Bridal Shower

The beautiful thing about working
with teenagers is watching
them mature into nice young men and women.

My husband and I now team-teach
a group of college and career youth.

Today we had a bridal shower
for two of our loves.

Kyle and Mary Michael
Logue

Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

I watched her guy grow up,
but I have only known this sweet girl
for a short while.

We share some of the same loves.

She loves making the old look new
and the new look old.
(I bought a door made headboard from her
that her sweetie made.)
She loves burlap.
She loves sunshine and sand.

From the smile on her face,
Mary Michael is loving this!

The shower gave me a great opportunity
to get ready for Spring.

I just love the moss covered bird.

The bridesmaids will be dressed in mint green,

So one of our hostesses made my favorite punch.
Lime Sherbet, I love!
Yummy!

I used some of my Ball jars
with burlap
for the hydrangeas.

I couldn't decide whether I wanted
a Spring theme or a Southern garden theme.
I guess you can call it,
"An Almost-Spring Bridal Shower."

So, we opted for a little of both.

I used burlap ribbon
as a table runner
and added tea light jars
from Hobby Lobby.

A jar full of advice for the bride and groom.

YIKES!
My first attempt at a banner.
I had been wanting to try this.
I cut scraps of material and tied them
to the burlap ribbon.

Not sure it passed, but
it was FUN!

The most precious and beautiful gift of all
was a piece of her great-grandmother's quilt.
It was saved in a house fire
and only a part of it remained.

Her mother will have it framed.
What a treasure!

We were trying to do the young, hand-on-the-hip thang.

The Bride, The Mother, and the Mother-in-Law to be.

This couple is loved by a lot of people who really care!

Last year in another wedding post,
I said this couple would be next.
I was right!!!

Blessings to you,
Mary Michael and Kyle

A Burlap Wreath

A friend made this burlap wreath for me.

I'm anxious to display it.

Anna is a young stay-at-home mom of two boys.

She is an active member of the church that her dad pastors.
Yes, another PK.

She sings on the praise team and is a volunteer youth leader.
Comes with the territory-the PK part.

She is a Thirty-One Consultant.

She's loves painting, crafting, and is a great mom!

A Young Proverbs 31 Lady.

Blessings and Prayers,

Bonnie:)
