The Mill and a Little Browsing

I had a few minutes on Saturday to browse.

I was at one of my favorite shops and ran into the sweet lady
who helped design my home.
By "design", I simply mean,
pick out light fixtures, brick and siding color, granite-
those kinds of things.
My home is certainly not a magazine design.
She has a booth in our local antique shop.

It was great bumping into her.
I told my children last week
that Nashville only felt like home
when I was with them.
I miss bumping into people I know.
It was nice.

She told me about a craft fair that was going on
just down from where I live,
The Mill.

I wrote a post on The Mill when I first moved.
It's an old mill that has been refurbished.

It was just a quick browse and I didn't buy a thing.

I was looking more at the decorating. It was a little cool inside and Christmas music was playing in the background.

The shop was called Urban Mills. if
you'd care to browse too.

They had the neatest ideas.

Shutters, a place to hang the wreaths and their stockings.
I may have to steal this idea.

The dressing room was made
from refurbished wood
and sheets of aluminum.

The entrance was very inviting.

The merchandise was a little out of
my league, but I enjoyed looking anyway.

One more favorite to come.

Please pray for my husband and I. We have some decisions to make.

  1. I'll be praying. Thanks for sharing this cute shop. Those flocked little trees are darling.

  2. I enjoy gathering decorating ideas from stores like that, just as you do. All the decor puts me in the Christmas mood too.
PRayers for you and your husband.

  3. I will be praying for your decisions. A very interesting place you visited. It is nice to bump into people you know. You know then that you are finally home.

  4. Praying for the decisions you have to make.
    I enjoyed browsing with you!

  5. Loved browsing with you.....
My motto is - when you don't know what to do - WAIT.
You 'know' in the spirit when it's time.
This has been true to me all my life.
    Love and prayers from Texas!

  6. Love the pictures from the cute shop. Inspiration to me today. Praying for God's perfect Will. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  7. {{Keeping you in prayer}}--you have me intrigued about that cryptic message, smiles.

Loveeeeeeeee the photos you posted...I have so much homework, but you know, I think I need to find time tomorrow to head over to the Antique Mall to just browse.

  8. It's always fun to browse and get ideas...I love the wreaths on shutters! I'll join you in prayer for wisdom...xo

  9. Ooooo, this shop is right up my alley. ;) I would love to browse through here. Looks like they have much goodies. It's nice running into people we know, and gives us a chance to catch up on the happenings in their life. Saying a prayer for you and husband, Bonnie.

Wishing you a very nice Thanksgiving.

    love, ~Sheri
