My HAIR...UGH

I hate it when grown women do selfies.

I'm certainly not vain and lean too much in the other direction. Well, I declare, as my mama would say, I can't get my hair to do anything!

Age?

Hormones?

Thyroid?

All if the above?

Color, cut, highlight, products and before I get out the door, it is plum flat!

Yes, this is more red than I have ever done. Thought it would give me a lift.

NOT!

What's a girl to do, tell me!

  1. Well Bonnie, I actually like the color and the cut! Short a bit sassy and fun! So, I think I'd just enjoy it! But that's just me, whose had the same cut for nearly 20 years! Blessings, Cindy

  6. You're beautiful! I say work it girl, work it! I've had a time with mine lately. I left my hair lady of 12 years in search of something new... And oh boy!!! Is it hard to find someone who can cut hair! Especially short hair. After 2 bad haircuts, I actually cried after one of them, I finally found someone. And the color!! I went from blond to brown to striped to orange to now somewhat blond. You're hair is gorgeous! Maybe you're bored? Like I was but all that hair drama cured me lol! I'm too chicken to post my hair disasters.

  8. I love the red Bonnie! I always wanted to be a red head but never had the guts to try it. Now I am a silver fox and I love the freedom from the skunk line I would get within two weeks of coloring my hair. But you are right about hair changing as we get older. I have finally found a hairdresser who has helped me find my style, a medium length bob. I love short hair and wore mine that way for a long time but like several ladies have mentioned, I got a bad hair cut that made me cry and decided I would never have short hair again. Keep rocking that red!!

  9. I LOVE IT!!!!! I see where your coming from though---how is it one can look like a million dollars when we leave the salon and then the next day we can never get it to look the way they did? I'm going in before the start of the semester to get mine done....I wear mine in a med. messy bob...as I have baby fine hair.

ANYWAYS----I love it, Bonnie, truly I do...many Happy Sundays to you.

  10. I think the haircut and color is attractive but, if you're like me, you have a love/hate relationship with your hair. I have to keep mine short because it's just not thick enough to look good longer.

  11. You are TOO cute:) My hair is more gray that any other color, so I go for blonde! It is the closest thing to gray, hehehehehehe! Enjoy your day dear Bonnie, HUGS!

  12. I really like it! I recently went through a dramatic change with my hair (chemo), after not having any hair a person appreciates what they get when it comes back. My hair is much curlier than ever and blondish and I love it and plan to keep it like this.....unless it changes again and/or I change my mind. I was born a redhead and HATED it. As a mature adult I finally learned to like it. Then it faded and I tried to color it back to it's original color. For now I am sticking with it the way it is. You do look great!

  14. Bonnie, you know that old saying the difference between a bad hair cut and a good one is two weeks...so maybe as you get use to the red cast you will see yourself differently. I think you are a very pretty young lady. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  16. Personally, I think that's a good color. My hair is very fine, flat and naturally curly if I don't do something with it. What I use for more 'poof' is Tresemme' Keratin Smooth Flat Iron Smoothing Spray (http://www.tresemme.com/product/detail/353254/keratin-smooth-flat-iron-smoothing-spray). It's not expensive. Just spray a bit all over the hair. Finish brushing or kneeding into it. Blow dry using only your fingers and upside down as much as possibly. Finish by using a round brush with the blow dryer. Spray with hair spray. It should hold. That's why I do.
Hope your day is blessed. ~:)

  17. Your hair is cute. I'm getting a new do on Tuesday...been letting it "grow" for the last few months! I don't color mine anymore. I'm pretty salt & pepper, probably more salt!
It's a new stylist too! I hope I like it!

  19. I like it too. I used to have great short hair. I lost the body on the top. I let my bangs grow and where my hair longer. I like it but can't stand my hair in my face so I wear a headband. Thinking of a change again. Your color is a good one for you.

  20. I think it looks great! I've been moaning about my own hair. I had it colored, because the gray was really showing. I think it's now too dark and it will not do anything! Aaauugh!

  21. Your hair looks great, the color and cut. You have to play with products. Tried and true for me is Root Boost by Garner. A mousse will also give you volume on top. Hair spray is good too if you spray it on the tips of your fingers and then fluff the roots upward. Just experiment!

  22. I think your picture looks great...I know I'm way picky about my hair too. My stylist sells an amazing new product called Lift It. It's amazing stuff, expensive but amazing. I use just a little bit and it lasts all day.
    Bless you today!
