Taking a Break

As you know, I'm trying to launch my Nerium business.

I really want this to work.
I really need for this to work.

In January, my husband learned that
the company that he works for
was about to start lay-offs.
Contractors were released a month ago.
The company has been running at 25%.

A couple of weeks ago,
the company offered packages for those
who would volunteer to take a severance package
and retire early.

That was not an option for us.
Thursday my husband came in very distraught,
to say the least.
When he got in that morning, his assistant
had been escorted to his car and asked to turn in
his keys, his phone, and to clean out his desk.

This man has a family, a wife and a young teenage daughter.
They are very close to us and we attend church together.
Please pray for this family and for David as his work load will increase
and we deeply care about our friends.

I will be taking some time off to care for my family.
Please pray for God's provision and His direction.

Tomorrow night, I will be hosting my Nerium Launch Party.
Please pray for attendance.  Please pray that everyone there
will be uplifted in the presence of other women.
If this step is God's will for me, I pray for responses.
I really believe God wants me to lead a team of women.
This may be a chance to make a difference and provide for my family too.

Thank you my friends.
I'll be back.
Just need some time away.

Those of you who would I correspond with by email are welcome to email me
and I will be happy to respond.

  10. That is so terrible to face loosing your job. I had that happen to me a year after 9/11 - 150 of us were escorted out. I ended up with a wonderful package as I was 70 years old and could collect my SS. But, sometime when one door closes another one opens up. Wishing you success on your new venture and I will pray that everything works out well for you and your family.

  12. I pray sucess in your new adventure. Blessings!!
Ugh, lay offs are not fun....we have been through that and unemployment too many times. My hubby works in construction. Whenever the economy goes a bit south, no one can afford a carpenter. He had more than one boss just give up the business when things got tough. Talk about having to trust the One who knows all! Whew, it's been a ride, this life has been!!
Bless you during the break. I will miss you!

  13. Bonnie, I will be praying that your business will be a success, if that is what the Lord has for you at this time. I am so sorry to hear about the unsettled work environment for you hubby...we have experienced this in our family too...Jim, was laid off after 36 years and then unemployed for 18 mos. The Lord provided a job at just the perfect time...the very time his severance ran out! Take all the time you need...I hope to keep up with you on facebook! :)

  16. Bonnie, I am not sure how I missed this but I did just find it...and want you to know that I will be praying for your friends...for a good job for him...for strength for your husband as his work load increases...for protection over his job...for the launching of your new business endeavor. May God richly bless in each of these circumstances. In our weakest moments He becomes our strength. xo
