New Project: Getting Ready for Grandma

I am working on last minute projects
to get ready for my mother-in-law's stay.

I am a nervous wreck.
This is the first time in 37 years
that she has stayed in my home.
We have never shared a cross word in all these years.

Since we lived in the same town,
she rarely visited because
we went to Grandma's for all holidays.

So.....

It's clean.
The bedroom that she is staying in is ready.
Well, almost.
The sheets are in the dryer.

Yes, it's a little crooked. That will be easy to cover
with a photo.

I bought frames and board from the last yard sale.
I bought two and paid $5 each.
They are MASSIVE!

The original price was $35 from Hobby Lobby.
That did not include the cork board or the fabric.
\

I used my staple gun to attach the board to the frame.

This is me busy at work on the other one.
It requires more work.

And I bought a different fabric.
With my cyber discount it was $11 for 2 yards.
Total cost of the project, $21.

The board can be wall art,
a bulletin board for work,
or another place to display the photos of my babies.

I think it turned out nicely, I think.

This is my little work corner
where I blog, work Nerium,
and pay bills.

I work better with order.
So, here you go.

All ready for Grandma and her sister.
No blogging for a week or so.

I'll be back soon,

Bonnie:)

  9. Very nicely done! I just hate the word Mother in Law. I am one and I wish there was a friendlier word for that relationship.
