Riding the Nashville Star

I am back briefly to share a few photos.

Baby Harper has been very sick.
We had a fun week but sure
wished our baby girl had been well.

I'm awaiting a phone call now
to see if the doctor is going to admit her.

I hope they do.

After a trip to her regular physician last week,
an urgent care visit on Sunday, a Vandy ER visit on Wednesday,
another visit to regular physician yesterday
and again this morning, we want her well even if it takes
a hospital admission.

Our ride on the Nashville Star was fun.

The commuter train provides transportation
to and from downtown Nashville
to and from Lebanon, Hwy 109, Mt. Juliet, Hermitage
and Donalson.

Grandma was fussing with me for making
her sit down and get behind the yellow line.
I said, "Show me your ticket, Mam."
This week I was the boss.
( just teasing!)

Even the kids knew to stay behind the yellow line.

The kids had a great time getting
to know their Great Grandma
and Aunt Jean.

This baby doll was excited!

We wave as the train approaches.

I, myself, was like a kid in a candy shop.

Grandma and Aunt Jean's first selfie.

Look at my babies!

Our first and only stop was Mike's
an ice cream shop!

Cora got a taste from all of us,
strawberry,
triple chocolate,
coffee fudge,
butter pecan,
peanut butter.

YUMMY!

I found the little shop as yummy as the ice cream.

It felt like we had slipped back in time.

Great nostalgic photos lined the walls,

and musicians lined the walkways.

Connor tipped the sidewalk performer
on the way back to the train station.

It was a great week.
This day was particularly fun!

Just found out that Baby girl has pneumonia
and is being admitted.

Please say a prayer for her and mommy and daddy tonight.

See Ya Soon,

Bonnie:)

  7. I'm so sorry to hear that your sweet baby is ill. It is so scary to have sick children. Hospitals do take good care of them, though. I hope she gets better quickly. The train ride looked fun, too!

It looks like you had many adventures along the way. Your grandma and Aunt Jean must have been thrilled! I love the red and white stripes on the train. It looks like a candy train. : )

  11. Looks like it was a fun day out. I grew up in Nashville and I have always loved the things you can do all over the city. There are some great historical tours and battlegrounds and some interesting shops and stores downtown. I try and go back whenever I get the chance because the people there are all so friendly.
