The purchases I made from
High Cotton
made me smile today.
Nothing is as soothing as the smell of lavender.
When I was an activity director for
a nursing home, I purchased some essential oils.
When one of the residents couldn't sleep or was agitated,
I would wet a warm cloth, add a few drops of lavender,
and gently wash their face and arms.
It works!
The trunk of my car no longer smells like a wet dog.
No, I haven't been hauling a wet dog around,
just a bunch of junk.
I'm sure you understand.
The ceramic eggs are probably as close to the Easter Bunny as you'll see here.
I bought the three pieces of pretty ironstone
from Amy- the small pitcher/creamer, the bowl and the saucer.
Just added a little something for display.
I love the backdrop of lavender.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the Easter basket.
Look forward to seeing what I can do with this.

Love your purchases:) Enjoy your day dear friend! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteSigh..you have such a lovely way of decorating (big smiles). Just love, love lavender too. Blessings
ReplyDeleteLovely, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI love the lavender idea!
When my father was alive and in the nursing home, one of the things I did was warm a washcloth and gently wipe his forehead...I wish I would have thought about the lavender. : )
Everything looks so charming.
Have a cozy day!
I grew lavender one year, must try it this year, thanks for the reminder. love the color of the eggs.
ReplyDeleteLove these goodies. The basket would be pretty with a large bundle of lavender laying in it! Like Patsy, I once grew lavender and just loved it. Have a nice day, Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteLove it! -Carla
ReplyDeleteEverything about it is so lovely, and the blue eggs are the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteThat Easter Basket will be one of your masterpieces I'm sure. Can't wait to see it.
Going to get some Easter things for our little Tristan today and get them in the mail. He'll be 10 mo. in a few days.
Thank you for the lavender idea. I am going to try it on myself...I have a hard time sleeping. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI love your purchases. Lavender is one of my favorites. Will you come and decorate my house? :)
ReplyDeleteI spray a bit of lavender on fresh linens. After I move I plan to delve more into essential oils.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
You found some GREAT things there, Bonnie. We always wash our babies & toddlers with Johnson & Johnson's lavender baby bath. I love the way they smell afterwards and I do think it is calming. Hope your week is going better for you- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYou have such a knack for the treasures. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteBTW, if you're being "trolled" here at the blog, I humbly suggest making it where posts have to be Okayed by you before any posts can display. Then just ignore and delete those bothering you without reading. I've done that before and they eventually give up and go away. Problem solved.
Luv ~:)
It all makes for a lovely vignette, Bonnie! Those eggs are so pretty. I have to temper lavender with something else. While I love the smell, it makes my nose all twitchy. : )
ReplyDeleteI love all your white china! Looks lovely with the wrapped lavender. I can't get enough of that smell. So pretty too!
ReplyDeleteI love white and anything white, your arrangement is lovely. I fill cotton bags with our lavender and hang them in the washrooms, you just rub the bag's lavender a few times and one has no need for spray deodorants.. lavender is a magic plant :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat finds.
ReplyDeleteMy lavender plants seem to by my puppy's favorites so I guess I will have to buy some lavender this year.
