Another Project Today, Tomorrow the Tree

I stayed up late last night doing this...

The red is so pretty and shiney.
It makes me smile.

I recently bought this quilt at the flea market for $40.
It's hand stitched and has so much red in it
that I couldn't resist.

This is gonna be my Christmas corner.
I'll add some red pillows and some stuffed toys
for the Grandloves to play with.
Maybe Callie Cat will stay off of it...

The window seat has sat empty for 3 years now.
After Christmas, I intend to get someone to make me
pillows and a cushion from nice fabric.

Today was a good day.
I helped a friend.
We went thrifting.
I listened.  She listened.
We shared.
I taught a Bible class.
We prayed together.

Isn't that what community is all about?

Tonight I am at peace.

  1. Sounds like a wonderful day! Happy for you!
Love the quilt and the sign!

  2. I'm glad that you had a good day. I hope that today is another good one too. Your little corner is lovely, and will be a nice place to sit and snuggle! xx

  3. Peace feels good:) Love that window seat! I know there will be lots of smiles around your house this Thanksgiving! Have a blessed and peaceful day, HUGS!

  4. So thankful for good friends and peace from the Lord. I adore that quilt but I think Callie is gonna love it! Your chalkboard sign with the cheerful red frame is fabulous!
I remember we had a window seat at the home we shared with mother. Mother had a pile of Christmasy stuffed animals on the seat and one day when I walked by, I saw Kaboodle cat in amongst the stuffed animals!

  5. Good happy day for you! Lovely post.

  6. When you finish--you could run over to my house--it is a blank slate!

  7. I love Thanksgiving..probably really my favorite holiday..but I'm getting so in the mood for Christmas this year!

  8. Love the Merry Christmas slate. And the love seat is precious. Oh that quilt!!! A couple of nice pillows with ruffles would look really nice.

  9. Love the sign! The quilt looks good there. Very nice!
Peace is just wonderful....I'm thrilled you are at peace :) your day sounds wonderful.
    Bless you tonight!

  10. It sounds like you had a wonderful day. I really like that darling chalk board and your cozy little Christmas corner-to-be :) I found out today that Aaron will be able to make it home for Thanksgiving so it looks like SOMEONE will be cooking that meal after all! I'm actually looking forward to it :)

  11. You know gurl (wink) keep on making me smile. Thanks...I sure need that! Blessings

  12. I love the cute quilt you found! Nothing says comfort more than a warm, (and pretty) quilt.

  13. Great quilt Bonnie! I wish my little home had a window seat, but no! It sounds like you enjoyed a great day. Hope your tree is up now :) Blessings to you!

  14. Your little window seat is so cute with the quilt added to it. You could probably add some foam to it and then wrap your quilt material around that for now. That might work until you get a cushion made.

  15. Nothing better than a productive, blessed day with a friend! :)

  16. Sounds like a beautiful day ~ and ending it feeling peace is awesome! I love the red! It's my favorite color...along with black & white.
