An Attempt to Create a Beach View

I'm still dreaming.

In between gasps of breath
and nursing muscle spasms,
I pulled together something to make
me closer to my dream location.

I changed my faux mantle up a bit.

This is an attempt to create a beach view.

I added some rope and a star fish to my wreath.
I may change the bow later,
but for now this works.

When I'm at the beach,
I don't need to remind myself to relax.

But I'm not at the beach.

I added the shells that I had collected over the years
and the favorite photo of my daughter and myself.
I also added rope to the large Ball jar.

Books and a cake plate are great for adding
height to a vignette.

These two books are my two favorites.

Shells, shells and more shells
from early mornings walks on the beach.

Does anyone remember the story behind the sand dollar?

T

We did beach photos at Hilton Head
when our Connor-man was 6 months old.
This is a favorite of him and his Grandy.

This is a closer view of the starfish
that was attached with rope.

And a closer view of the rope around the jar.

I can breathe now without
spasm hiccups.

When I need to remind myself to relax,
I'll look at my view.

Blessings upon Blessings,

Bonnie:)

Your mantel is lovely and a very creative way to think beach!
If I had the dough, I would pick you up and we could all go together!
In Heaven, we get beach front homes for all who want one!
