What Songs Do You Sing?

I say to Connor,
"They're playing our song,"
and I sing,

I love you
A bushel and a peck
A bushel and a peck
And a hug around the neck
A hug around the neck
And a hug around the neck.

I got photos today via phone.

Connor man is warming up to Baby Cora.
He told his teacher on Monday,
"Sissy home with Mommy."
Up until now, she's been "Baby."

He sings to her,
Jesus wuvs, is I know.

Cora and Mommy went to see Daddy at work yesterday.
She's got him wrapped around her little finger.

To Cora I sing,

You are my Sunshine,
My only Sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are gray.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Oh, please don't take my Sunshine away.

What songs do you sing to your little ones?

May your Easter be one of blessings upon blessings.

He is Risen!

Bonnie:)

  2. Bonnie, This is an adorable post. The man down the road always ask his granddaughter ,"which finger do you have me wrapped around ? " Then the little girl holds up both hands with her fingers sticking out. (all of them)LOL...too cute. Xoxox,Susie

  4. What sweet and precious photos. Just melts my heart.

Yikes, my youngest is 43, I sang all the time to them, but for the life of me can't think of one right now.

A Blessed Easter ~ He IS Risen indeed.

  5. No children of my own, but I used to sing to my little nephew (now 21) and niece. I think singing is a sweet way to connect with the little ones we love so much. I sang a plethora of songs. Can't remember if one was a favorite. (Old Age, you know ... lol). God bless! ~:)

"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." [Matthew 28:6] HE IS RISEN!

  7. How cute- Those are such cute photos! Yep-you can tell Daddy is smitten! Our boys are "luvving" their new sister, too! I sing all kinds of songs to my grandkids-depending on the moment. I really love the old Irish songs and ballads though so they get sung to sleep with those or when I am holding them when they are sick.

  8. HE IS RISEN! I am so excited to go to the lake tomorrow for a mini sunrise service with my husband. Thank you so much for coming to visit me today; the music you listened to....isn't that peaceful? May God's eternal plan for us render us internally at peace in this short and fabulous life. Anita
