A Sacred Moment

We arrived in Nashville
on Thursday.

Soup and sandwiches and Connor man,
a perfect evening.

Busy, happy and no clue about
what was ahead.

Sarah, my niece was a big help!

The next day we get the call
after lunch,
"My water broke."

I'm on my way.

We expected a baby before the day was over.

My son is such an incredible man!
He came home to get this little man to bed
around 7:30 that evening.

Christina was not progressing at the rate
that she had hoped.
Connor man was a C Section and she
so wanted a VBAC
(vaginal birth after Cesarean).

Bedtime was so precious...
With trembling lip and tears,
Connor said,
"Mama..."

"Mommy will be back soon."

"Mama back soon?"

"Yes, Mommy back soon.
Let's talk to Jesus."

With folded hands and trembling lips,
a little boy watches Daddy as he prays
through all the thank-you-fors
and then my heart melted
as MY baby boy poured his heart
out to God...

"Lord, you know that the desires of her heart."

I didn't hear anything else.

A sacred moment,
a very special dialogue
between my son and his Heavenly Father.

My heart swelled with pride.

At 10:00, they both
are back home,
emotionally and physically spent
with Christina still in labor.

TO BE CONTINUED...

Bonnie:)

Yes, we do have a baby.
Details to follow.
