Linking with From This Side of the Pond

Seldom do I do more than one post a day,
but while visiting Simply Linda,
but I thought I might join this linky party.

http://www.fromthissideofthepond.com/

Maybe you'll hop over and join
Random Wednesday
From This Side of the Pond.

1.  What's the last foolish thing I did?
I played hopscotch down the steps
I missed a step and tumbled down the step
at the movie theatre a few weeks ago.

2.  What non-fiction are you reading?
I am reading Brene' Brown,
Daring Greatly
It talks about how important it is to be vunerable.
To let yourself be known, to be real.
The book has a few four-letter words that
aren't in my vocabulary,
but it's a great read with real-life truths.

"We are hardwired to connect with others, it's what gives
purpose and meaning to our lives, and without it there is suffering."

I got really sad when I read this because there are so few
people that I can be real with-too much judgement
and not enough acceptance and unconditional love.
I grew up with conditions as a PK.

But then I realized,
I am real with my blogging friends.
Although you are far away, I love you
and treasure your friendships and pray for you
as I know you pray for me.

3. Garlic or No Garlic?

Now, we don't hang in around the neck,
but yes, love, love, love garlic.

4.  Spring Festival

I would have to choose the one in Knoxville, TN.
It's the closest to my children.

5.  How I Choose Which Blogs I Follow?

Honestly, I have a few that I truly connect with
that I've gotten to know in just the past month or so.
Thank you, Mildred.

I search for blogs that are Shabby Chic,
Spiritual, Rustic, Cottages, or like interests.
Photos are important too!

6.  When I last used Math?

Math?  What's that???
I guess I add, but do more subtracting when I
balance my checkbook.

7.  The Letter A?

Yesterday was an All-About-Me Day.
I had my nails done-
Shellac, french manicure
and my hair trimmed.
I went on a mini-shopping spree
and bought a pair of jeans.

8.  A Random Thought about Me

If you follow my blog,
you know I am absolutely in love with my family-
my husband and my children.

I have bipolar disorder.
I am either really happy
or really sad.
Well, I used to me.
Now that we've found the right combination of meds,
my dips and peaks are not so extreme.

Thanks for letting me share,

Bonnie:)

This smells soooo good!
I found it on my walk around the block today.
Does anyone know what it is???

  2. Hi sweet Bonnie. I always enjoy learning more about dear blog friends. We enjoy the same type of blogs. Have you ever visited the Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain? They have tons of arts/crafts (and traffic lol!)
I appreciate your friendship and prayers through blogging. You are in my heart and prayers, also.

  3. Good wisteria picture. It reminds me that ours growing on the fence bordering the cemetery is in full regalia. Love that smell! I ought to snap a pic of it.
I chose my blog follows by how interesting they are.
As always I enjoyed your answers. ~:)

  6. Hi Bonnie! Oh, I just loved reading your answers to these questions. I love the same kinds of blogs you do and isn't it something how we can connect by the heart to someone we've never seen in the flesh or heard their voice?
Thanks for popping in to see me and no, I'm not going to paint my little scale. I've already had a few other bloggers yelling at me not to do that! :)
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia;)

  7. Oh- Yeah, Bonnie. I hear you on several of your answers. That is what keeps bringing me back to your blog-your love of the Lord and family. Great post- xo Diana

  8. I think it can be easier to be real here too. I'm glad I met you here and appreciate our online friendship!
The wisteria is beautiful - not something we see around here.

  9. We have a field and woods at the back of our house and our small flower garden is in the front of the house. For years a rabbit has baby's under the rosemary plant. This baby is the only one to come back. It comes up on the patio and does not run away from us. So we are sure it is the someone.

  10. Hello Bonnie, This was fun to read! And it does feel really good to have our blogging friends who love and encourage us! Blogging has been a truly inspiring outlet for me!
I have yet to see any Lilacs around here yet. But my daffodils came up!
    Blessings, Roxy

  12. Hi Bonnie,
It has been a treat to read your blog. I enjoy question answer sort of posts; you really get a chance to know someone. I feel the same as you about most of what you answered. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Love your flowers…Wisteria seems to be the common thought, but I am not sure, because we don't grow them here…I have seen them before though. Very pretty.
    Blessings,
    Pam

  18. I like this! My friend, Terri, in Florida did the same one. I will email you her blog.
I know what you mean about being real and/or transparent. I worked at churches for about 28 years. Just because people are Christians working inside or outside the church doesn't mean they will hold your confidences. Also, many would "dig" for inside info on staff members - - maybe not maliciously but it happened more often than not. I hated having to guard my entire self but it was life. Praise God for my sweet husband. I can trust him with anything.

  19. Blogging friends are wonderful, aren't they? Best kept secret, IMO.

I'm very happy for you, that you have found meds that help you still be you and are effective; having that kind of control over your disorder is a blessing.

I have no clue about flowers, but they sure are pretty!

It's nice to "meet" you. Have a great weekend!

  20. It was fun to learn more about you! I agree that blogging is a wonderful way to connect with others with similar interests. Just think of how much broader our world is now that we can connect with people from other parts of our nation that we've never met in person! Pretty neat, I think.

  21. Oh Bonnie, I am right there with you on the math thing! Goodness, I don't do numbers ;)

  22. I'm so glad you joined in this week. I'm normally much better about coming by to comment and say hello, but I was out of town, had company right after, and am also participating in this month's A-Z challenge so I'm a little slow this week.

I've met some bloggers in real life, and back in October two bloggers I met when I first started back in 2009 came and spent the weekend with me. We'd never met in person, but it was like getting together with old friends. So fun! Enjoy your week! Hope you'll come back and play again. I post the questions on Tuesday sometime, and put the link up on Wednesday sometime.
