Children are a Treasure from the Lord

I've done little home design since Christmas.

My goal was to get organized.
However small this project may be,
I've been getting my photos together.

A friend gave me a wall art,
"Our Family Tree is Rooted in Love."
This was my inspiration.

New photos of my grand baby were a great push.

As I'm sure you know already,
My Children are my HEART!

I prayed for them before they were born.
I prayed for whom they would marry.

I gave them to the Lord when they were babies,
And rededicated them many times over!

When my sweet girl was 14,
we got a big scare.
The doctor said,
Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, MS...

Days turned into weeks
with multiple tests and multiple trips to various doctors.
All suggestive of one of the above, but not conclusive.
Every time we saw the doctor I heard,
"suggestive of lupus, but not conclusive."

So we waited and prayed and prayed and waited...

While earnestly praying,
God asked me to give her to him.

What if He took her from me?
What if it meant the worse?

I was searching for a way out,
a way to hold on to her.

I was praying and reading His word when God directed me to this,
"...we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.
If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is ABLE
TO SAVE US from it, and HE WILL RESCUE US from your hand,
O King, BUT EVEN if he does not, we want you to know, O King,
know this, that WE WILL NOT serve your gods or worship the image of
gold you have set up."  Daniel 3:16-17

I knew I must surrender-EVEN IF...

Even if
it meant a "blazing furnace."
Even if
the results were not good.
Even if
it meant more tests and more doctors.
Even if
it was the worse.

Surrender...Trust

During this time of testing,
my little girl was practicing to compete
in the District Talent Competition.

Her song...HE IS ABLE.

...why would God allow my heart to be torn this way.
Yet, I know when my eyes fail to see,
He is able.
Even though it seems impossible to be me,
He is able.
If He chooses not to move in the way we prayed He would,
He is able.

My baby girl at 14 won the competition and went on
to sing at region.

Yes, HE WAS AND IS ABLE!

For many years, she lived with joint pain.
When stressed, she lives with joint pain,
but we know and believe that God is ABLE.

Today she faces a different kind of test,
BUT HE IS ABLE.

MY CHILDREN...
 treasures from the Lord.

"Sons are a heritage from the Lord,
Children a reward from HIM,
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are sons born in one's youth."
Psalm 127: 3-4

YES, HE IS ABLE.
