A Whirlwind of Activity

The week was a whirlwind of activity,
Thanksgiving with his family,
Thanksgiving with my family,
dinner and a movie with our family,
and the best part of all,
A BABY SHOWER.

This shower was the "home" shower,
hosted by family and friends.
Christy saw some old friends she hadn't seen in several years.

I decided to let someone else photograph the event.
This was our special time and I didn't want
the distraction of looking for my camera or my phone.

I did take a few before we got started.
We'll have to wait on the others.

The time of the shower was 10:00-12:00
so the hostesses planned a brunch.

Menu:
Grits
 Breakfast Casserole
Biscuits with jelly or jam
Ham and cheese sliders on sweet rolls
Cupcakes
Beverages,
orange or apple juice, raspberry sherbet punch, water

The Hitchcock women can COOK!
I only have the last name.

The drinks were served in canning jars.

Harper's room is decorated in neutrals
with a pop of coral and aqua.
I can't wait to show you!
The "H" will be perfect!

On Friday evening we went to see the third movie
in the series of The Hunger Games.

Afterwards, we enjoyed a meal at Longhorns.

My girl enjoyed her daddy.

I missed my other children.
My daughter-in-law and family
buried her grandfather on Tuesday.

It had been a week of good-byes.
The days of adjustment will come later.

To get away from it all for a little while,
the family went to Rock City.

Christina and Chad are like two kids in a candy shop.

The children are joy in the midst of pain.

Thanksgiving is done
but the activity will continue until Santa comes.
This little girl looks ready!

BonBon and Grandy are almost ready!

Hope your Thanksgiving was a happy one.

Bonnie:)
