A GA Weekend Beside a Pond

My home away from home this weekend.

We are staying at our friends' cabin on a pond in a sweet spot in Georgia.

The breeze is blowing nicely after a day of rain and I got a "peaceful, easy feeling."

I'm still sick physically but feeling much better in mind and spirit.

  1. What a serene looking spot, Bonnie! I hope you are feeling better - all around.

Thanks for your visit to my Fall post. I was pretty happy when I came across that little pick up truck at CVS - and I wasn't even looking for it. I knew it would be the perfect size to hold those little pumpkins, which I got last year for crafting Fall and Halloween projects.

  2. I'm tempted many times to try and move to Jefferson County, right next door to your former long time adode. My husband's family once "owned" almost the entire county and parts of Washington County. Unfortunately, the area is too "dark" now. *wink* We would be outnumbered. Great views, though. I could sit on that swing reading my Agatha Christie or medieval history books for hours. Take care and get well soon.
Hope your day is blessed. ~:)

  11. Thanks for dropping by Nanaland!! I am a Georgia Gal too, I am from Chatsworth up in Northwest GA and my husband is from Savannah. We are getting ready to build a little cabin on some land my daddy left to me. It is by a pond too but the site will need a good bit of prep before we can start building. Hope you are feeling better. I get the same thing around Thanksgiving but I am trying to fight it off this year with oils!! We will see.
