A Southern Elegant Wedding

In my last post, I mentioned designs made from cotton.  However, I didn't mention the designer.  The following post was written more than a year ago.  I wanted to share some more of her ideas.

Joy has a flair for listening to ideas, and creating just what the bride wants.  I love the old nail bucket filled with cotton and the cake atop four small bails of hay.

Her creations are magazine-worthy.  There's nothing that I can find on Pinterest that is any more beautiful.

Burlap chair covers for the Mr. and Mrs. Don't you just love?

This one could be linked to Good Fences Linky Party.  Another idea made beautiful.

I was unable to attend one of her most recent weddings.  It was actually another of my friend's daughter and granddaughter's wedding.  Joy can design anything from cakes to crates.

Even a rustic chalkboard can be elegant.

The mother of the groom is a floral designer and I'm sure she added a touch of her talent.

The bride's home was the perfect setting for the wedding.

Another view of the doors.

I don't know if I have ever seen a more beautiful backdrop.  The bride and mother of the bride were just beautiful.

Blessed Be the Name of the Lord,

  1. What a talent she has! I just love all her ideas. The door is marvelous!

  2. Very pretty. Our wedding was so humble compared to what these bride's expect nowadays. We where married by a notary with all our friends in attendance. It was casual but, hey, it was the 70s! *lol* ~:)

  3. oh wow that is a fabulous wedding..LOvE the cotton appropriate !!
    Armoires..oh I love them ..
my two are filled already over flow goes on the bed LOL

  4. I l e weddings like this. I ordered some cotton. It's so beautiful. In said a prayer for this sweet mom. How sad. Hoping there is a miracle.

  5. Oh how pretty. We were married in front of my parents fireplace by notary. Yep..and I didn't get a church blessing until my 20th anniversary. I did wear a wedding dress though when I did get married. Blessings

  6. This wedding was unusual and very beautiful. I love the fence, doors, and that cake. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. Oooh, everything is just so beautiful! I love the idea of tying in the culture of an area (what makes it unique) into an event. When my cousin got married this year, the theme for her dinner was "A Taste of NC" and they had all the types of things we generally call our own. Hog and all. lol

  8. Oh.My.Goodness. There is nothing I love more than these rustic weddings that are so popular! It makes me want to get married again so I can have! Love the free standing doors as the entryway to the wedding...and everyhting else too!

  9. BEAUTIFUL & UNUSUAL---makes for a perfect wedding!
