Primitive stuff for the primitive-loving folks.
Does primitive mean old?
Does that mean old stuff for the old folks?
I didn't think so!
Although the quilt had a tag (which means it's not old),
I bought it because it looked old.
I got it for $12.50 at the estate sale
that I mentioned on my last post.
The stars are wooden and great!
I need to fill my booth
so I'm gonna sell the stars
(not the quilt).
I know I will regret later!
Especially since I want to turn one of my rooms
into primitive-style.
The quilt will be perfect!
Yeah!
Vintage ornaments!
A year of hunting should give me a
full tree by Christmas.
High winds are predicted for Friday
in Central Georgia.
Hope that doesn't mean more falling limbs.
YIKES!
Bonnie:)
Love the quilt, and can't wait for your primitive room.
ReplyDeleteWhy or why did we get rid of all those vintage ornaments cause at the time we thought they were ugly, cause "white or clear" was in.
Now we searching for them. HaHa The moral of this story...store...don't throw~~~
The quilt is very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh! The quilt!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!!!!!
Enjoy, my friend. : )
I love the quilt and the stars! You did good, and I'm looking forward to seeing your primitive room.
ReplyDeleteHI Bonnie! Thank you for stopping in; that was so kind :) I am admiring your vintage stuff. I've just recently started admiring vintage furniture since my hubs was a furniture maker once upon a time, knows his stuff, and found a beautiful antique dresser we couldn't pass up on. He and I agree that we would rather pay $175 for real wood (be it vintage) than $175 for particle board. Hope you don't have many storms. We've been blessed with 70's for the past week. LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is beautiful! Just perfect for a primitive room. The ornaments remind me of ones grandmother had. They will be gorgeous on your tree!
ReplyDeleteOh Bonnie, love me some Primitives..... Adore the quilt, great buy, can't wait to see your room done, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first visit to your page and enjoyed it so much. God, family and friends are very important to me too. I live in Chattanooga but grew up in Nashville, so when I saw that, I knew I had to have a new friend - you! Hope we can get to know one another. Linda
ReplyDeleteLOL. Funny..I was standing at a "Primitve Booth" yesterday and commenting on the stars and such she had..hubby goes, "Does that mean old?" Just to funny, Bonnie.--those stars are wooden? I have never seen wooden ones! How nice!!!! Blessings
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Bonnie, Oh, we had the wind last night! I can see why you won't sell the quilt. It really looks vintage yet elegant with the lace on it. My sister loves the kinds of stars, maybe I need one myself, now where will I put it..
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you today!
Roxy
Bonnie, I really like the quilt. I truly like the primitive look. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI think primitive these days is more a style although it is fashioned after old things. I love that quilt. I would not part with that at all. It's beautiful.
