A Cabinet Full of Fenton

After I got a few sweet comments
on my kitchen cabinet,
I realized I have never featured
the cabinet in my bedroom.

I bought both the double window
and single window cabinet
The Rusty Gate,
a local consignment shop.

They both are made out of old wood
and old windows.

The bottom drawer is perfect for linen.

An open door brings out the fresh aroma
of the wood.

I bought the square bowl on the top
for $6 on EBAY.
At the time, it was valued at $167.

Each shelf is filled with pieces of
my favorite milkglass.

I started collecting all milkglass.
Then I narrowed the search to Fenton Hobnail.

My daughter gave me the cake plate last Christmas.
It's my favorite piece of all!

A couple of pieces are not Fenton,
but close enough to keep!

This particular doilie
was crocheted by my grandmother.

You've probably seen this chair before.
I got it at auction about 3 years ago.

I prayed for this one.

I held my breath.

SOLD for $25
to the lady in the back!

There are a poor crowd there that night,
for sure.

Have a Marvelous Monday!

  7. I like the milk glass collection. It's very pretty. My mother had a couple of pieces that now reside in a place of honor. Milk glass, old photos, a pillow case that was hers and some 1940s costume jewelry is all I have left of that fine lady.
Can you believe how warm it is? Wonder how long it will last.
    God bless. ~:)
