Pink Roses and White Shoulders

Can NOT believe that little cupid
is peeking around his arrow.

While others dream of red hearts and candy,
I dream of WHITE LACE AND PINK ROSES.

Olive from OliveOut  dried these roses last year.
We used pink roses in my wedding almost 35 YEARS ago!
LOVE THEM!

It's been a slow winter for White Lace and Promises
so I'm bringing some of my goodies home.

Found this great gold jar last year on Ebay.
Can not believe it is still with me:(

So, I've found a home for it among my other goodies.

Added my pearls and the scent of my mama,
White Shoulders.
I picmonkeyed this photo
in her memory.

Oh, how I miss her,
however, she is only a sweet scent away.

The smell of White Shoulders takes me away
to

my first big girl purse
with a travel size spray bottle of perfume tucked in its pocket,

to
a hug around the neck,

and
stealing a pat of the fresh powder packed puff
from her bathroom shelf.

Daddy always gave her a box of candy, a sweet card,
and a new bottle of White Shoulders for Valentine's Day!

Happy Sweetheart's Day to You, my Friends

Bonnie:)

  1. Bonnie, I loved White Shoulders as a child. My mother had a friend who would dab a bit on my wrists when I would be at her home visiting. Isn't it amazing how aromas can transport us to another time and place. My mother wore Channel No. 5 and it is still my very favorite scent. Enjoy your Sunday! Bonnie
