I Think I'm Going to Italy

I'm a little bummed today.
Remember the ice storm?

I still have 7 holes in my roof,
and a hole in my ceiling.
The insurance company won't settle on
the four estimates that we have been given.

Today we got a new quote from Lowe's,
but you have to have the money up front.
The bank won't cash the check until the work is done.

We don't have the money for a new roof sitting
in the bank.

So I think I'll ask my husband to take me to Deano's.
Is that not crazy?
Spend some money because you have to spend some money?

Deano's is a locally owned and operated
Italian restaurant, and it's better
than Olive Garden.

I love the brick walls and the atmosphere.

There is a large patio area to sit
while you wait to be served
or if you prefer to eat outside.

Specials are written on the chalkboard.

There is an industrial-feel to the place, and

character that you will not find at Olive Garden.

The wood is for the oven.

And the artwork makes you feel like you are
in a gallery or in Italy.

The outside sign is lighted with round bulbs.
I wish I had gotten a picture.

So, I think I'm going to
Italy Deano's.

Care to join me?

Bonnie:)

Hey--I'll tell you what..why don't you and I do a exhausting online search for Italy, and post our "vacation" pictures on Saturday?? DEAL? DEAL! (LOL)Blessings

  5. My son always goes through Home Depot. He does the 12 month thing where as long as you pay in 12 months you don't pay interest. Or something, not sure of the plan but he uses it all the times. Maybe that would be an option. Also your bank might do a home equity plan esp. if they know the money is coming. Good luck. Shopping or eating out always makes me feel better......or ice cream, hah.

  8. I hope that you can get the roof sorted out, we just had ours repaired two weeks ago today from storms in February, so I understand a little your worry of holes in the roof. Hope that you enjoyed Italy in the meantime!! xx

  9. I'll be right there, Girlfriend! When I visited with my daughter's family a couple of weeks ago they took me to a wonderful Italian restaurant in Wilmington DE. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was out of this world...definitely better than Olive Garden. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and I can still remember how wonderful it tasted!

What time should I be there? Hugs...and best wishes for a wonderful weekend!
