Junk Found on the Side of the Road

My brother-in-law is just the best at recovering junk from the side of the road.  He is the luckiest man alive!  He finds the best stuff!

One day when I was working at the shop, he drives up with these two great pieces.  I wish I had a before photo- cobwebs, roach eggs, rat poo and all!

There was this great cabinet that had great patina-blue and gray with white paint spots.  I wanted to keep it just as it was.  However, my brother-in-law would not hear of it.  He convinced me that it smelled like cat pee and that he had to remake it.  There were places where shelves had been, but no shelves.  Some of the wood that I thought was great patina was actually rotten.  So he goes to work.
He is just the best brother-in-law in the world.

It is the perfect size for holding my mama's quilts.  The scrolled legs are beautiful!  He knows how much I like white.

The inside is beautiful!  I'm not sure I want to hide this!  Maybe I'll keep the top shelf for displaying some of my vintage finds:)

Will show you my display when I can get my sweet hubby to move it inside.

Did I tell you...my brother-in-law is just the best!  I tried to pay him.  He wouldn't hear of it!

  3. Cat pee? It will show off quilts beautifully and it is not overly large either. Please pray for me as I am sick with an upper respiratory infection. I am planning on coming home in the morning if I can.
