Intentional Living

I love the radio broadcast,
"Intentional Living."

On my walk around the block,
I was intentional.

The sweet little cottage
was almost obscured
by the shrubs and trees.

With an intentional eye,
I saw a neat little place
with a porch that wrapped around to the left.

It's the small, often over-looked details
that add character to these old homes.

A porch mailbox-
great for some of you
who are experiencing negative temperatures.

I intentionally see beauty in the chipped and the cracked.

A carving of the cross in the trunk of a tree.
Had I not been intentional,
I would have missed it.

A bay window, a wrap around porch
and a sun room,
all perfect for those intentional quiet moments.

Following a difficult place
in my Walk,
I am intentionally
seeking a place at the foot of the cross.

I once read,
"To not deliberately seek HIM,
is to lose vital contact with HIM."

Deliberately and Intentionally Seeking Him,

Bonnie:)

What a charming cottage, and I love the cross carved in the tree trunk. It's amazing what we will discover when we take a walk around the block. It's so good of you to see the beauty of it all.

  5. Living intentionally is a great way to live. It is so easy to rush through our days, letting things just happen without noticing the blessings. I LOVE that old house! xoxo

  6. I think I'll give that title to my hubby for his next sermon.

Intentional Living. I just did a type and wrote "Loving"...well that's also something we should do.. Intentional Loving!!

I live in a small home, and have a porch mailbox similar to that one, but painted my Gold this Christmas.

  10. Great post and I liked the phrase Wanda mentioned, intentional loving. It's so easy to miss so many details as we rush through life.

  13. The little imperfections in our homes are often the most charming things there. I just love a white house, so I really enjoyed the photos.
