Canning Jars, A Vintage Tablecloth and Tomato Sandwiches

I was so excited to find a cornflower blue canning jar. Though I love the aqua ones, I prefer this color. It was a very rare find. I saw one on ebay recently for $50! I paid $5!
I love decorating with jars. We used them for vases at our daughter's wedding reception and our son's rehearsal dinner. Our daughter got married in the heat of summer in the middle of August. Although the heat was smothering, the wedding was beautiful and so much fun! We decorated with buckets of daisies, milk bottles, canning jars, bird houses, and everything vintage. We were having so much fun, we failed to get pictures of the reception:(

Vintage tableclothes are my favorite. This doesn't exactly go with the flow from the kitchen to the living room, but I love it! Sometimes you just have to add something that makes you smile regardless of how it fits with the rest of the decor.
A vintage tablecloth and tomato sandwiches go together like peanut butter and jelly. Who needs to cook in the summer when you have bread, mayo, tomatoes, salt and pepper?!?
A birds eye view of some of my favorites. I bought this sunflower from a vendor the minute she brought it in. I do love getting to pick first-one of the benefits of being manager.
Please add your sweet comments, if you like. I'm not sure my followers are still out there since blogland went crazy and wiped me out.
Happy Monday Tomorrow!
