Red, White and Blue Tablescape

I'm not sure that this setting qualifies as a tablescape. That's a blogger word that I've added to my vocabulary, but one of those words that you use lightly hoping that you are using it correctly. Either way, I sure do love the red, white, and blue.

I did away with most of my red when I remodeled my kitchen last year. So, today I took advantage of the opportunity to add the patriotic theme and did what I do best, I went pickin'.
I fell in love with every piece of linen I passed.

The vintage ones, of course, are my favorites.
I never knew that George Washington was a tobacco user. Maybe he wasn't, but somebody thought he may have been. This tin can was old! It read "George Washington Tobacco." Anybody remember that one? I guess I'm too young:) or maybe it's because I'm not a tobacco user:))
With the gernaiums and flags, I think it makes for a great centerpiece.
I turned the tablescape into a vignette by adding the crate, a couple of cobalt bottles, a star and a red handled grapefruit knife??? and voila!
I'm feeling a tad more patriotic by the moment!
I'm Proud to be an American!
Happy 4th,
Bonnie

  1. Bonnie, the tin can, linens, and all the red, white, and blue are gorgeous. I had no clue what a tablescape was either until I started blogging. Vignette either. New world eh? xoxo, olive
